SANTA CRUZ DE LA SIERRA - Short and crisp

Accommodation
As already reported in the last article, the "Alojamiento Sol del Oriente“ was not the most fanciful hotel. You could indeed only stay for one night. For 100 Bolivianos (13.50 Euros), we lodged in this accommodation and were glad to be able to leave our room the next day. Nevertheless, it was very convenient to be stationed right at the terminal and the small food stalls in front of the hotel were also very cool.

SIM card
Right at the terminal, we bought two SIM cards from Movistar. We paid about 15 or 20 Bolivianos, but we are actually no longer sure.
Sightseeing
On the second day, we took a taxi to the center and after breakfast, we visited the following sights:
- Plaza Metropolitana 24 de Septiembre (with many shoe shiners, a chapel, and school children who seemed to be on a field trip)
- Gobierno Autónomo Municipal de Santa Cruz de la Sierra (only from the outside; right in front of it, a television team was filming a segment)
- Casa Municipal de Cultura Raúl Otero Reiche (very sweet museum with great pictures)
- Manzana Uno Espacio de Arte (semi-good gallery with some good pictures)
- Catedral Metropolitana Basílica Menor de San Lorenzo de Santa Cruz (pretty church with viewpoint "Mirador y Secretaria Catedral“)
- Casa Cultural Casa Melchor Pinto (great, diverse exhibition, whose pieces you can buy)
We really didn't have time for more sightseeing :)

Transportation
We arrived at the terminal on foot, it was right across the street. We drove to the city center with UBER (17 Bolivianos for the outward journey and 13 Bolivianos for the return journey; 2.30 Euros or 1.75 Euros respectively)
Food and Drinks
We had breakfast at Cofi Centro
- Latte Frío (12 Bol)
- Matcha Latte Frío (12 Bol)
- Empanada integral (7 Bol)
- Brownie (5 Bol)
- Queque Limón (8 Bol)
Additionally, Pascal ate a beef and sausage dish with vegetables in front of our hotel for 15 Bolivianos. I treated myself to a pastry for 1 Boliviano and a "Lima" beverage for 2 Bolivianos. We also drank orange juice for about 5 Bolivianos and I ate a "Quinoa soup with a lot of vitamins" for 5 Bolivianos. At the terminal, I bought an empanada and a poor sweet cake with cheese (together about 14 or 15 Bolivianos). Before the bus, Pascal bought chicken with rice.

Cofi Centro was tasty, but also a bit pricey.

Standard stall offer

We didn't do laundry here.
Unsolved Mysteries
Why do you have to make offers to the drivers in the taxi apps?
Currency
- 1 Boliviano = 0.14 Euros
- 1 Euro = 7.42 Bolivianos

Bus to Cochabamba
The bus left for Cochabamba with a huge delay of an hour for 120 Bolivianos (16.20 Euros), where we wanted to get used to the altitude. The trip was dreadful. My seat was readjusting all the time and kept going upright. In addition, water was coming down from the ceiling. Even the little child next to us was leaking. Guys, don't travel with the company "San Francisco"!
