2. In short

This blog uses no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising, no social media plugins, and loads no content (fonts, scripts, images) from third-party servers. All pages and images are served from our own server.

3. Visiting the website and server logs

On every request our server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, status code, referrer and browser identification (user agent). This is required to deliver the pages and to keep the server running and secure (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in secure operation). The logs are kept only as long as necessary for these purposes and are then deleted. They are not combined with other data.

4. Cookies

We only use technically necessary cookies (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG); no consent is required for them:

  • lang: remembers the language you chose, stored for one year.
  • latm_session and latm_login: only for authors signing in to the editorial area, deleted on sign-out or after eight hours at the latest.

5. Sign-in to the editorial area

The editorial area is only for the authors of this blog. Sign-in uses our own identity service (Authentik). Name, email address and group membership are processed to check access (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Readers are not affected by this.

6. RSS feed

Fetching the RSS feed only involves the server data listed in section 3.

7. Contact by email or phone

If you contact us, we process your details only to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed for that purpose.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). Please contact the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

There is no automated decision-making or profiling. Personal data is neither sold nor passed on to third parties. The German version of this policy is legally binding.
