URUBAMBA - Ceramics, Market and Salt Terraces

Accommodation
For our stay in Urubamba, we paid 100 Soles for the three of us. We slept quite centrally located in the city center. Nora, our receptionist, was super nice and even though the accommodation was more expensive than the average, it was worth the money.
Sightseeing
Since we couldn't visit the "Salineras" the day before, we took the tour from Urubamba. We paid our driver Jorge 85 Soles and for the entrance another 60 Soles for three people. We enjoyed it there but were disappointed that we couldn't walk around more. But since Pascal was sick, it probably wouldn't have been possible anyway, so oh well ;). In Urubamba itself, we visited two ceramic factories. Both "Tater Vera Cerámica" and "Ceramicas Seminario" we liked very much. The absolute highlight, however, was the market, which had an incredible amount of great things to offer (see expenses). At the "Plaza de Armas" we had a churro and watched the locals relax in the park.
Transportation
Within Urubamba, we walked around on foot. On the way, we discovered a man selling fried, dry noodles. I had wanted to try that for a long time, and we quickly bought a small package for a couple of Soles.
Food and Drink
We ate a menu including "Refresco" for dinner for 8.50 Soles each. The restaurant was called "La Roca - Restaurante Local" and felt a bit like a canteen. We ate
- Arroz a la Cubana
- Pollo a la Plancha and
- Guiso de Pollo. The next day, we bought various things for breakfast to try at "Pastelería D'Conde" and paid 27.50 Soles (so 2 Soles more than for the previous dinner;). Then Pascal and Jona had tea and I had a strawberry chicha for 12.50 Soles. By the way, in my opinion, strawberry chicha is NOT recommended, better invest your money in Pisco Sour!

Unsolvable Mysteries
Were the salt terraces really closed the day before?
Bus to Cusco
For the bus to Cusco, we paid 18 Soles for three people. We traveled with the slow bus, which picked up locals in the villages along the way and arrived at the terminal in the afternoon. From there, we took a taxi (8 Soles) to our accommodation. Bummer! We booked a fake hotel. After much back and forth and searching for alternatives, we booked the "San Blas Guest House / Hostal Mágico" and arrived exhausted and annoyed.
Post Scriptum
There are also pictures this time in the last blog entry, as they fit a bit better thematically here. https://hoenisch.eu/photo/mo/sharing/BtCMHP7xY
